-

The Challenge
Extensiv Integration Manager (formerly CartRover) needed a dynamic, engaging way to tell its story and highlight the real-world impact of its software. While blog articles and product pages provided information, they lacked the engagement and clarity needed to effectively communicate the value of the platform. Additionally, potential customers often struggled to understand how the software fit into their workflow.
With no existing product video to reference, I set out to create a multi-purpose video asset that could serve as:
- An on-demand demo that visually explained Integration Manager’s capabilities.
- A use case video that detailed how businesses benefit from automated integrations.
- A corporate overview video that positioned Integration Manager as a leader in iPaaS solutions.
The Solution
To ensure the video delivered a compelling and informative narrative, I took a documentary-style approach, combining expert interviews, product visuals, and animations.
- Self-Funded & Self-Produced: Shot the video on spec using my personal $15K+ video production setup (cameras, lighting, audio).
- Expert-Led Storytelling: Conducted interviews with William Wynn (Solutions Architect), Sean Evans (Account Specialist), and myself to break down the product’s value.
- Structured Narrative: Crafted the interviews into a pre-planned storyline, ensuring a smooth flow that answered key customer questions.
- High-Quality Visuals: Combined talking-head interviews, b-roll footage, software screen recordings, and animations from a previously produced explainer video.
The result was a 3-minute, 25-second video that clearly explained what Integration Manager does, how it works, and why it matters—all while keeping viewers engaged.
The Results
Versatile Video Asset: Created a multi-purpose product video usable for sales, marketing, and customer education.
Integrated Marketing Use: Positioned for deployment on the website, advertisements, and social media.
Future Expansion: Established a repeatable framework for producing additional video content.
